Palm Harbor

Back to TBWay       Back to Pinellas Page

Here is where you'll find John Chestnut, Sr. Park on Lake Tarpon.  This park is great place to visit. At Chestnut Park there is a  wonderful nature walk called Peggy Park Nature Trail to enjoy. It goes over the swamp area and right up to the water. The walkway is made of wood  walk ways and dirt paths that goes for 3300 feet. On the walkway you’ll find places to sit and relax

Downtown Old Palm Harbor is also a place to go, there are lots of restaurants all in walking distance. Many times through the year they have Arts and Crafts show on Main Street.
Once a month they celebrate First Friday with music and fun.
2007 Event schedule

On US 19 you’ll find just about every kind of restaurant, Chinese, Wing House, Hops, Santo’s, Hooters and many more.

US 19 is a very dangerous highway, the people who decided
what to do with the road made a decision to make the right
hand lane into a highway lane. In the past it was a lane that
people used to get into and out of the businesses along the road. Now it’s part of the high speed lane and many people get hit by cars speeding in the right lane. Be careful even when you think  it’s ok to enter the highway someone will come across 3 lanes of  traffic at 60 + mph and hit you.
BE CAREFUL.
