Here is a my list of
the top 13 places to visiting in the
Tampa Bay area. I know there are
more but these are
great places that a visitor should see.
1 Great Parks This list is large because
we are blessed here.

Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. Great, Beautiful and
FREE
- Dunedin Causeway beautiful place to walk and watch the sunset.

Caladesi Island between the causeway and Clearwater beach,

Honey Moon Island; this is a state park and they charge but it's
nice.

Philippe Park in Safety Harbor; Beautiful place on Tampa Bay

Brooker Creek
Preserver in Tarpon Springs; nature place must see.

Weeden Island, A must see park in St. Petersburg

Sand Key Park on Clearwater Beach. Right on the Gulf beautiful
beach.

Fort DeSoto Historic site, must see bring
your camera and take your
time.
2 Tarpon Springs Sponge Doc
Tarpon Springs has the Sponge Docks and
antique shops. This Greek
community has some of the area’s best
restaurants and shops.
The best thing to do here is walk and have your camera
ready.
3 Clearwater Beach;
You have to stop to see the beautiful beaches
and check out Pier 60.
The place is under tremendous re-construction but you can
park in the
public parking area and walk the beaches.
There is a lot of things to see and do all in walking
distant.
Hot spots to check out are; Frenchy's restaurant and
Sheppard's.
You’ll have to be careful about the parking meters, You’ll get a parking
ticket if you a minute late. There are sheriff’s agents all over the beach
watching. When your there
you have to check out
4 Drive down the inter-coastal road.
You can start at Clearwater Beach.
Drive over Sandkey bridge and keep going until you get to the
bottom
of Pinellas, At that point you're not far from Fort Desoto a
must see.
Then head for the Sunshine
skyway bridge another must see.
5 St. Petersburg
has many great stops for
visitors to see and do.
The Pier has easy
parking and a great walk. Many
small shops and things to see. Bring
your camera. If you’re a boater
you’ll be impressed with the marina.
Makes you want a boat. The down town area near the Pier is also an
interesting walk about. Many small shops and restaurants. Just south of
the pier area
is the Dali Museum and not far is Sunken Gardens.
6 Dali museum and that’s a great stop a must see.
This artist work is celebrated all over
the world, this is a must see.

7 Ybor City this is the party area of
Tampa Bay, lots of night life.
This area has lots of restaurants and
clubs. Great place to walk around.
There is plenty of parking and it’s
not expensive. At night the area is a
hot spot for partying. You have to
be careful here at night. This area of
Tampa Bay is notorious of
trouble, muggings and fights. It’s a young
people hang out at night. I
go to Ybor during the day.
8 Sunken Gardens in St Petersburg
Sunken Gardens is a beautiful garden area great for pictures.
9 MOSI Museum in Tampa
MOSI website
This is the Museum of Science and
Industry a must see.
10 Lowry Park Zoo

11 Bush Gardens

12 Weeki Wachee Springs
Weeki Wachee
Springs is another must see. You should plan to stay
here awhile because this park is full of fun.
13 Flea Markets!
Florida is famous for
great flea markets and here
are three must see markets.
Oldsmar has the
Oldsmar Flea Market a
huge flea market that most locals go to in the north part of Tampa Bay.
You’ll find anything there. The market is open Friday, Saturday and
Sunday bring money.

Wagon Wheel Flea
Market in Pinellas Park on Park Blvd. a great, large flea market in South Pinellas.
Open Saturday and Sunday.
USA Flea Market in Hudson (Pasco
Country) on US Hwy
19 just before Rte 52 on the east side.
